UPNEEQ®
A prescription treatment for low-lying eyelids
A subtle lift without surgery
UPNEEQ® is a prescription eye drop used to treat acquired ptosis, a condition where the upper eyelid droops lower than it should. At Interface Aesthetics, it is offered as a non-surgical option for patients who want a subtle, temporary lift of the upper eyelid when appropriate.
What UPNEEQ® Actually Does
Targeted muscle stimulation for eyelid elevation
UPNEEQ® (oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution 0.1%) works by stimulating Müller’s muscle in the upper eyelid. This can raise the eyelid slightly, creating a more open and refreshed appearance.
It is FDA-approved for the treatment of acquired ptosis. It does not add volume, change skin texture, or replace surgical correction when surgery is indicated. This is a functional treatment with cosmetic benefit, not a cosmetic shortcut.
Why Some Patients Choose UPNEEQ®
A temporary, non-surgical option
UPNEEQ® may be appropriate for patients who notice mild upper eyelid drooping and want a subtle lift without surgery. It can be especially helpful for people who feel their eyes look tired or heavy.
The effect is temporary and lasts approximately 8 hours after application. It is not a permanent correction.

How UPNEEQ® Is Used at Interface Aesthetics
Only when it makes clinical sense
UPNEEQ® is not automatically recommended. Whitnie evaluates whether eyelid drooping is present, whether the patient is an appropriate candidate, and whether this treatment is likely to provide meaningful benefit.
If a surgical referral or a different approach would be more appropriate, that will be discussed openly. The goal is to recommend what makes sense, not simply what is available.
Who UPNEEQ® May Be Right For
Patients with mild acquired ptosis
UPNEEQ® may be appropriate for adults with mild upper eyelid drooping who prefer a non-surgical, temporary solution. It works best for patients who understand that results are subtle and short-term.
When UPNEEQ® May Not Be the Right Choice
Clear expectations protect good outcomes
UPNEEQ® is not a replacement for eyelid surgery when significant drooping or excess skin is present. It is also not intended to create dramatic cosmetic change.
What to Expect with UPNEEQ®
Temporary lift with daily use
UPNEEQ® is typically applied once daily. Results begin within hours and last for several hours. Because the effect is temporary, consistent use is required to maintain the lifted appearance. As with any prescription medication, potential side effects and contraindications will be reviewed before use.
If your goals would be better met through another approach, Whitnie will explain that clearly and help you understand your options.
Not Sure If UPNEEQ® Is Right for You?
The best way to know is through evaluation
If you are noticing mild eyelid drooping and wondering whether UPNEEQ® could help, a consultation is the best next step. Whitnie will assess your anatomy, discuss realistic expectations, and help you decide whether this treatment makes sense for you.
